Professional quote/Personal motto:
If you always do what you always did, you’ll always get what you always got.
‘What were some of your professional experiences before coming to RBP?’
‘I worked as a youth mentor in 2017 through the Reach Foundation which works to empower young people by giving them the tools to set and achieve their goals and deal with life’s challenges. I was then a school counsellor in 2018 for Catholic Education and then became a Psychologist for Dyslexia SPELD foundation all the way in Perth in 2019. In 2020 I joined RBP as a psychologist!’
‘Why did you choose to become a psychologist
‘People are fascinating! About 10 years ago, I became interested in learning more about people’s behaviour and attitudes in order to help me better manage people in the workplace. I took leave to fit in a one-year course in psychology, but one thing led to another and I decided to leave my job and study to become a psychologist. Helping children with learning difficulties is a very satisfying career.’
‘What do you like about working with Raise the Bar?’
‘It has given me the opportunity to learn and develop my skills from leading practitioners in the field. I also love working in a supportive, progressive and stimulating environment.’
