Jodie Lang

Jodie completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at La Trobe University and has been

working as a paediatric occupational therapist for the past 12 years. She has worked in a

range of settings including Early Intervention, Community Health and privately in independent


Jodie established Hopscotch OT in 2014 as a natural progression of her extensive experience

working with children with developmental coordination disorder or dyspraxia, developmental

delays, learning difficulties, attention deficit disorders, sensory processing difficulties and

social and emotional difficulties.

Jodie is committed to using an evidence based approach and in recent years has completed training to become a certified CO-OP therapist, Tuning Into Kids group facilitator and has completed various other courses in sensory processing, handwriting intervention, toilet training and family centered practice. Jodie loves helping children to reach their goals and is passionate about working with their parents and educators to understand their needs and how to support their skill development so that the child can reach their full potential.

Maria Kouspos

Maria completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University (2001). She brings

16 years of experience of working with children providing speech pathology services for

assessment, diagnosis, intervention and management of children with learning difficulties,

developmental concerns and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She has worked in a variety

of clinical settings including early childhood intervention services, special developmental

schools, mainstream schools, hospitals and private settings. She has particular interest

and experience in working with students with additional learning needs, ASD, language

delays/disorders, dyspraxia, articulation and phonological disorders.  Maria also works at the Developmental Paediatrics Department at the new Monash Children’s Hospital, Clayton.

Maria provides both an in clinic and mobile speech pathology services to children from 2 to 18 years of age. She is a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and fulfils all requirements for professional self-regulation program. Maria is also a registered service provider with the Department of Social Services and provide services to private clients under the Helping Children with Autism Package as well as the Better Start for Children and with the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Jane Smart

Jane completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at La Trobe Univeristy in 2001. She has

worked with children and their families for the past 15 years. She strives to provide

intervention that is evidence based and fun!

She has worked in both private and public services; including community health,

mainstream and specialist school settings, home based services and early intervention

settings. She assesses and provides treatment for children aged 1-12 years who are

experiencing difficulties with feeding or swallowing, understanding language (receptive

language), using language (expressive language), speech (articulation and phonology)

phonological awareness, voice, fluency (stuttering) and social communication (pragmatics).

She works collaboratively with other allied health professionals; including OT’s, psychologists, physiotherapists and teachers. She aims to work in partnership with families and other professionals to achieve shared goals and the best outcomes for the child.

Jane is a certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia and is a Hanen certified speech pathologist. She is trained in The Lidcombe Program, PECS, Makaton, BLADES, early feeding and literacy development.
