Alex Graham

Alex is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist with experience working in

early intervention, primary, secondary, special school and private practice settings.

She completed her Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology at Monash
University.

 

Alex is experienced in both assessment and counselling for lower primary to upper secondary school students. She has a special nterest in the areas of specific learning disorders, developmental disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and working with LGBTIQA+ young people. Alex aims to work with children and young people to gain a thorough understanding of their strengths and challenges, and uncover their unique learning profile. She believes that working collaboratively with the client, their family and school is integral to achieving the best outcomes. Alex draws on her training in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution focused intervention and tailors her approach based on the client’s goal. Alex is also trained to deliver 123 Magic and
Emotion Coaching Program for parents.

 

In addition to her work at Raise the Bar Psychology, Alex continues to work as a school psychologist providing assessments and counselling to primary school students as well as providing professional development to teachers.
